St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne - Resource Unit, are seeking experienced perioperative staff to join our casual nurse bank.

 Anaesthetics/ PACU Registered nurses wanted

Exciting opportunities exist to work in a casual capacity as an RN with our Resource Unit in Anaesthetics and PACU within our Perioperative Services.

We have a variety of shifts available 6, 8 & 10 hour shifts enabling a positive balance between work and personal life.

We are actively recruiting Registered Nurses to join our growing team and make a positive impact on the health of our communities and provide exceptional care to all our patients. We are nearing completion of our Fitzroy campus redevelopment which includes new state of the art operating theatres, ICU, maternity services and wards.

The Anaesthetics/ PACU role is fast paced, with opportunities with opportunities to work within a variety of surgical specialties

  • Orthopaedic
  • Neurosurgery
  • Cardio-thoracic
  • Colorectal- UGIS
  • Plastics
  • Ophthalmology/ Vitro Retinal
  • Oral/Facial maxillary surgeries
  • Obstetrics
  • Paediatrics

ABOUT YOU:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join St Vincent’s Private Melbourne  Hospital Network that provides excellent support to your nursing carer and great opportunities for development.
Your skills will include:

  • Minimum 2 years' Registered Nursing experience within a peri-operative environment is required
  • Minimum 12 months experience dedicated specialty scrub scout area is required
  • Working with Children check
  • Current AHPRA Registration (no restriction) 
  • Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in Anaesthetics (Desirable)
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
  • Excellent interpersonal and well-developed communication skills
  • Be flexible and reliable at all times
