As we continue to welcome guests to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and grow our operations, we have an opportunity for an intuitive & hands-on Retail Supervisor to support our dedicated Retail Team including, our busy outlets & park operations.

 

About the Role

Reporting directly to Retail & Photography Management, you will be a person who goes above & beyond to ensure continuous improvement of our process & service standards.  In this hands-on role, you will lead, mentor & motivate our Teams to ensure we deliver professional, efficient & friendly service.  You will be an experienced Retail professional with proven operations & leadership skills that will support the Retail & Photography Teams.  In this role you will work across all 6 of the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Retail & Photography outlets

 

You will have a natural sense of fun whilst being able to supervise, motivate & inspire.  You will lead by example to ensure the Team deliver efficient & friendly guest service. This role includes ensuring policies & procedures are met & WH&S service standards adhered to.  This is a fast-paced environment where you will be available to assist the Teams with core duties hands-on as required.

You will support the Management Team with roster maintenance, stock control & recruitment.  You will have the ability to create eye catching displays & layouts to drive incremental revenue & maintain outlet presentation with the desired visual merchandising benchmarks.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, a minimum of 3 years’ experience at a Retail supervision level, preferably within a multiple outlet organisation.  Ability to set clear goals, control resources & motivate Teams to achieve performance objectives & targets.  Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

  • Ability to set clear goals, control resources & motivate Teams to achieve performance objectives & targets.
  • Experience with Team training to ensure excellent guest service is delivered.
  • Strong visual merchandising skills with clear attention to detail which reflects in outlet presentation.
  • A self-motivated Team player who can communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • An understanding of stock control & inventory process with analytical ability to make informed decisions.
  • Works at a fast pace but always remains calm under pressure & is a solutions orientated thinker, with a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude.
  • A self-motivated Team player who can communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds & cultures.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role which will involve walking, pushing, pulling & lifting.
  • Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals including birds and reptiles.
